I met Russ and Allison at the Holiday Inn Resort on Wrightsville Beach. They had been married in Raleigh the Saturday before we met and wanted to get some fun images in their wedding attire. I did not shoot their wedding, so this was the first time we were to meet. What a blast! They were fun and open to all suggestions, so when I suggested they get wet, there was no hesitation. The water on the island has started to cool, so it took a little adventuresome spirit to roll around in the surf. They were great and had as much fun in front of the camera as I had behind it. Here are a few of my favorites from that afternoon and I wish Russ and Allison all the best.

I spent October 1 with Michael and Jennifer Bell recording their wedding. It was a crisp NC Fall day in Sanford and the Bell’s and their wedding party and guests made the most of it. The wedding party was a lot of fun to spend time with and you could tell they were all best of friends. The reception rocked to the sounds of  Ryan Pflumm of SpinNC DJ’s and went well into the evening. I was glad to be a part of their day and I wish Michael and Jennifer all the best! Here are a few of the images recorded that afternoon.

This past week end I had the pleasure of documenting Jennifer and Michaels wedding. It was a crisp, cool, beautiful North Carolina day and I look forward to the final image edit. The following images are a few from Jen’s Bridal session, which were taken this past June. It was not a crisp, cool day, but a typical June morning in Wilmington, NC. We spent the morning at the NC Arboretum and Jen was great, and kudo’s to her sister Rachel and her Mom, Cheryl, who assisted the future bride.

I just recently had the pleasure of shooting Katie and Shane’s wedding in Chapel Hill. They met in Europe and were originally married there, but just with his folks and hers in attendance. Shane is from Ireland and Katie is from Chapel Hill, so they decided to come back to the Hill and have a wedding ceremony and reception for all of their Stateside friends and family. It was a wonderful and fun event and I was glad to be a part of their wedding. It was a nice kick off  to the Fourth of July week end. Here are a few shots from the day.

I had the opportunity to shoot Jim and Amy’s small wedding on December 30 at Shell Island Resort. If you remember we had some really miserable weather around that time with cold, cold days accompanied with biting winds. Well as wedding days so often manage to skirt their way around bad weather, this one was no exception. Now it wasn’t balmy by any stretch of the imagination, but it was the warmest day of the week, actually pushing the 50 degree mark. There was some cloud cover, but that always makes for some interesting photo ops.

Jim and Amy were really fun to be around and an adventurous couple to boot. They are both bicycle racers  and hearty, so after the indoor ceremony we grabbed a few shots on bikes and of course, being from the Western part of the State, they were going to go out on the beach, no matter what the temps. We had a blast and tried to keep moving as quickly as possible. Amy, in her off the shoulder dress, showed her outdoor tenacity. I want to thank them for letting me record their special day. Yeah it was cold, but Jim and Amy managed to warm up the North End of Wrightsville Beach in proper fashion.
