The following images are from a photo shoot for a firm out of Charlotte, NC., Grand Estates Auction Co. They establish auctions for the sale of high end homes, both domestically and abroad. It seems that sellers of these estate type homes are gravitating to this type of marketing and Grand Estates Auction is very successful at creating the atmosphere and exposure needed to produce a sale. If you are a realtor or home owner they could be a beneficial asset to market a home of distinction.

I was recently commissioned to photograph the Cape Fear Community College Humanities and Fine Arts Center for Andrew Consulting Engineers. I was taken aback by the beauty of this building and hope that the city of Wilmington and its people realize how fortunate we are to have such a facility in our midst. They have already booked some wonderful performances and it’s just another feather in the cap of Wilmington, as a thriving community of the arts.

I had a great time photographing the home featured in this months Salt magazine. The home at 423 South Front Street is not only featured on this years 2016 Azalea Festival Historic Home Tour , but rumor has it the owners throw an annual Festival party that is a coveted invite! The home is a finely appointed 1914 brick Neo-classical with a back yard built for entertaining. If you haven’t yet picked up this months issue of Salt, then do so and read the great article by Ashley Wahl. Also get out this weekend and visit this home and the nine others featured on the Tour. To pique your interest I’ve included images below from the days photo shoot. Enjoy and have a great Azalea Festival week end.

I was recently commissioned by Hardee, Hunt and Williams to photograph an incredible estate home at 6226 Richard Bradley Dr., which is being marketed by their company. This craftsman style home is situated in its own fenced, park like setting and is close to Wrightsville Beach. It has remarkable wood work throughout and will be a coveted property for that discerning buyer. It was the second time I got to work with Barb Wall who is a talented designer and stager. Barb is owner of  J-O-A-T and has a great eye for color and detail. She staged this home and as always, was a pleasure to work along side and to have her input. This beautiful home is representative of the quality of homes that are marketed by Hardee, Hunt and Williams.

Below are a few of the photos from the days shoot:

I recently had the pleasure of photographing another Wrightsville Beach home designed by Michael Ross Kersting of Kersting Architecture. Michael hired me to photograph the home, as he was submitting it for consideration for the George Matsumoto Prize. This is an award sponsored by North Carolina Modernist Houses. I am happy to say, and congratulations go out to Michael and his firm, that the home took First Place, Peoples Choice Award.

For those who live on Wrightsville Beach or walk the Loop, you’ve passed this home from construction to finish. Its sleek and beautiful. I have included some of the photos from the days shoot and hope you enjoy and appreciate its many design features.
