For this months May issue of Salt Magazine I was excited to once again photograph a home designed by Michael Kersting Architecture. The owner of the home, Lending Tree founder Doug Lebna, asked Kersting to redesign the existing ranch home and add a guest house. The structures are situated on an incredible piece of property on Futch Creek that was previously owned by Episcopal Bishop, Rt. Rev. Thomas Henry Wright. It is surrounded by water on three sides and the finished product is just breath taking. Michael calls it “On Water” and the home has won awards from the American Institute of Architects and the Matsumoto Competition (North Carolina Modernist). You can pick up a copy of the magazine or read it online here. Either way you can get the whole story as told by the talented Senior Editor, Isabel Zermani. I have included some of my favorites from the photo shoot below.
