So today it was back to Buddy’s for more shenanigans with the probably, soon to be famous, Happy 2 WB, dogs. Now today the dogs were itching for a serious card game and also wanted to get their “Pirate” on, since Buddy’s seemed like the right setting for that kind of activity.

Well Apollo looked as if he had seen his way around a few card tables, as he put on a card shuffle display before the serious betting began. In fact at one point when he laid down a flush on the bar, all the other players just threw their cards up in disgust. It was pretty intense. In the mean time Ned Leary and Will Page were filming furiously, trying to get all this recorded for the soon to be released Happy 2 WB video.

So as the card playing changed over into “pirates capture the bar”, word got out on Wrightsville Beach that some of the dogs would entertain the idea of selfies with a few beach girls. Well, before we knew it there was a line from inside Buddy’s and out the door of young women clamoring for a selfie with these exceptional dogs. It was just crazy! Anyway, make sure you keep an eye out for the release of  Happy 2 WB, which is coming soon. Check out the big ad in the next issue of Salt Magazine. Ned and Will are putting together something special.

I might add that no humans were injured or abused in the making of this segment of Happy 2 WB. Enjoy the following stills from todays session. It was fun and I had a blast recording it.

So I recently received a call from friend and local photographer, Ned Leary. Some may know Ned for his exceptional landscape and portrait work. Lately, he and his colleague, wedding photographer Will Page, are getting a lot of  notoriety for their Happy video of Wrightsville Beach. First, if you haven’t seen this vid, you are slowly becoming a part of the minority as it has gone crazy viral. So take a few minutes and check it out.

Ok, back to the phone call from Ned. It seems he needed someone to help him shoot stills for their next project, Happy 2 Wrightsville Beach, Dog Days. When he told me the pay would be 2 tee shirts, I was all over this job! We assembled last night at the infamous Buddy’s Crab Shack and Oyster Bar. Buddy’s is the quintessential beach bar, although you’d be hard pressed to find a crab or oyster on the premises. As we got the plan for the shoot, the dogs began arriving and taking their place at the bar for last minute make up etc. I knew this was going to be fun and there was even an added surprise.

Scott Eastwood and Britt Robertson, who are working together on the Nicholas Sparks adaptation, The Longest Ride, which is filming locally and at other NC venues, took time out from their crazy schedules to make an appearance in Ned and Wills newest Happy project. It was a very gracious gesture by Scott and Britt and they were really good sports about the whole process. The following photos are stills from the shoot and as you can tell, a good time was had by all. We had to hurry as the weather wasn’t very cooperative, but we managed to get some good footage and I got my tee shirts! Enjoy the behind the scenes and don’t forget to stay tuned for Happy 2 Wrightsville Beach, Dog Days. Its going to be great!
